And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, (Acts 2:46, ESV)

In the past, I spent a lot of time at "church."  Severals days a week for various activities also included in that was a wednesday night bible study.  What suffered the most in this time?  My family life.
But here is Acts we learn that the "church" in the 1st century did something that it took me years to learn.  The went to the temple (church) and had fellowship time in their homes.

There are reasons for both large and small meetings.  Before answering my call to be a pastor and starting Grapevine Ecclesia, I hung out in the back pews and there was a period of time where I pulled a "jonah" and avoiding church all together.  God had to get my attention.  I found that when I engaged in both the temple and fellowship in homes, I grew the most.

I would like to encourage everyone to take a few steps forward in their walk.  Take this scripture seriously and be intentional.
Are you engaged at the temple, but not breaking bread at a home?  Are you in a small group, but aren't going to the temple?
Are you not doing either?
